The Voice Is Back … And So Is Sir Tom:
The full line up for the Voice Uk has been announced and Sir Tom Jones is BACK on the coaching panel.
The musical legend will be reunited with will.i.am on the singing competition show when it makes its debut on ITV next year.
Joining the duo are Grammy-winning sensation Jennifer Hudson and Bush rocker Gavin Rossdale
Former American Idol star Jennifer has performed at the Super Bowl and won an Oscar for her acclaimed role in Dreamgirls.
Gavin’s ex Gwen Stefani did The Voice in the United States. His daughter Daisy Lowe is currently participating in the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.
Sir Tom was on the panel of the first four series of The Voice UK, winning the show in 2012, before being rather notoriously dropped by the BBC in favour of Boy George.
The ‘Kiss’ singer claimed at the time that he was only told that he was being replaced on The Voice at the last minute with “no consultation or conversation of any kind”.
“I enjoyed it, but if they don’t want me anymore, they can go f**k themselves,” he said soon after.
Tom had this to say about returning to the ITV show
“I’m looking forward to returning to my big red chair on The Voice UK. I had some great times on the show, and I can’t wait to again discover and help some brand new talent – and of course, be back with my pal will.i.am.”
We at LS HQ are thrilled that Sir Tom is back on the coaching panel
Anastacia Speaks Emotionally About Her Appearance On Strictly:
Strictly Come Dancing star Anastacia has opened up about her emotional appearance on the show, [which launched on BBC1 last night] explaining that she’s considering showing her mastectomy scars during the competition.
Anastacia was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003, but it returned ten years later – prompting her to have a radical mastectomy.
The singer explained that Strictly is about far more than just learning how to dance for her. “I want to discover how to use my upper body because with my radical mastectomy I had to remove my lats completely from the bone and attach them to the front, so when I move my back [my chest] moves” she said.
Anastacia got a little emotional, saying: “It would be an intense situation – I think even talking about it I have a lump in my throat! So it would be very interesting. And so I’m there with a part of my heart saying I’d be willing, but they’re very kind to say, ‘You don’t have to’. But yeah, I might”.
Anastacia spoke to LS HQ on the red carpet and said that Strictly was on the top of her bucket list “I really am just kind of doing Strictly for my journey and for other women’s journey. We all go through this. Even though I look so strong, I’ve got these scars I’ve never shown and my weakness is right there for you all to see, not usually when I’m doing my music you don’t see it. The show will be able to show you a lot more of my vulnerable side that I never really show”.
Anastacia has vowed to donate her Strictly fee to charity.
