Glasto 16 : Adele’s EPIC [Swearing, Burping]Performance

Adele headlined the main stage at Glastonbury last night [June 25] and she was amazing OBVIOUSLY!

Opening her set with ‘Hello’  the crowd were delighted – thousands singing along.  Her nerves seemed to get the better of her and with a quick explanation of “I don’t know what to say to you yet”, she started to sing ‘Rumour Has It’ from her second album,  followed by ‘Love Me Again’  finishing with ‘One and Only’ – before she finally spoke.

“Oh my God. Oh my God. Hi,” she said. “This is the best f**king moment of my whole life. Oh my God…look at you, can you put the lights on [the audience] more, I want to see them? Glastonbury means the world to me. I’ve always wanted to do this my whole life – I’ve just been too scared. You don’t mind if I talk lots do you?” she asked. “I’ve been here a lot of times. I’ve lost myself a lot of times here. I’ve had some of the best times of my life here on a Saturday night here at Glastonbury.

She continued, “Hopefully you’re all drunk and off your faces – my set will go better then.”

Adele then went on to give an EPIC performance of her Bond theme ‘Skyfall’ –  telling the crowd that she turned down Bond themes before agreeing to this one.

Adele Wows Glastonbury With Her Epic Performance

The set did have a few hiccups, particularly when a producer came onto the stage to stop the concert and ask the audience to form a path to help a seriously ill member of the audience receive medical attention.

Adele also had to restart a rendition of 25 track ‘River Lea’ because she was out of breath. “I’d rather sing better for you. I’m sorry,” she said.  Her performance of the track was definitely worth the wait!

As emotions continued to run high a Brazillian fan [Maria] was asked onto the stage for a selfie,  where Adele promptly burped in her face – blaming it on a ‘dirty-burger’ – only Adele could get away with that one…

Ed Sheeran Is Sued For $20 Million :

Ed Sheeran is being sued for $20m by two songwriters over his track PhotographTwo musicians based in California are suing Ed Sheeran for $20m (£13.8m) over his single Photograph.

Photograph was the fifth single from Sheeran’s 2014 album X (pronounced multiply)

British songwriter, Martin Harrington and American Thomas Leonard claim it has a similar structure to their song, Amazing.

The two songwriters are aledge Ed Sheeran’s ballad from last year has the same musical composition to their track, which was released as Matt Cardle’s winning X Factor track in 2010.
Martin Harrington and Thomas Leonard say they wrote Amazing in 2009.

In court documents, that outline musical note comparisons and chord breakdowns of the two songs, the songwriters claim the chorus of ‘Photograph’ shares 39 identical notes with their track
Court documents also state that Photograph has sold more than 3.5 million copies worldwide. And that it features prominently in Hollywood drama Me Before You, released last week, as well as trailers for the film.

The lawsuit states “Given the striking similarity between the chorus of Amazing and Photograph, (the) defendants knew when writing, publishing, recording, releasing, and distributing Photograph that they were infringing on a pre-existing musical composition.
“The conduct of (the) defendants has been wilful from the inception of the creation of Photograph and “The copying of Amazing by Photograph is breathtaking in its deliberateness, magnitude, and hubris.”

Documents in the copyright infringement case were filed on Wednesday at LA’s federal court in the Central District of California.
Other named defendants being sued include Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid, who is credited as a co-writer on Photograph, as well as various divisions of Sony/ATV Music Publishing, Warner Music Group and its subsidiary, Atlantic Recording Corporation.
Martin Harrington and Thomas Leonard, and their publishing company HaloSongs, want a trial and damages of more than $20m (£13.8m), as well as royalties from the song

Martin Harrington and Thomas Leonard are using lawyer Richard Busch, who won a case for the family of the late soul singer Marvin Gaye. Successfully sueing Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams for copyright infringement last year over their single Blurred Lines, winning a $7.4m (£5.1m) settlement.

Matt Cardle’s version of Amazing has had over one million views on YouTube, while Ed Sheeran’s music video for Photograph has 208 million.
