X FACTOR 2014 : WINNER BEN HAENOW
Ben said his “dream had come true” after winning the ITV talent show
Croydon boy Ben Haenow has been named this year’s X Factor winner after going head-to-head with Fleur East in the 2014 final at Wembley Arena.
The contestants were both mentored by Simon Cowell in the over-25s group and sang two songs in front of the judges and a 10,000-strong audience.
The winner was chosen by the public, with 10 million votes cast.
“This is what you’ve waited for 12 years,” Cowell told Haenow. “This is what turning into a star feels like,”you deserved it, you’re a great guy, this is your moment.”
According to overnight figures, an average of 9.1 million viewers, including +1 audiences, watched Sunday’s finale. That was the lowest audience for a final results show since 2005.
Viewing peaked at 10.3 million when Haenow was named the winner.
We at LS HQ would like to send our huge congratulations …
X FACTOR 2014 RESULTS: LAUREN SENT HOME AFTER SING OFF WITH ANDREA
Lauren said that she wasn’t shocked to be the contestant to leave on Sunday and that she believes Ben Haenow will win over Fleur East and Andrea Faustini.
Bless… at least she got to share a curry with Chezza after the show.
We at LS HQ like Andrea, however it is a singing competition and we believe Andrea should have left. The show wouldn’t be as entertaining though would it…. hmm?!
X FACTOR 2014 RESULTS : ONLY THE YOUNG ARE THE LATEST TO LEAVE THE XFACTOR
Only The Young made it to the live shows on this year’s X Factor.
Sadly though they received the least amount of votes and lost out to the clown of Xfactor Stevie Ritchie.
The four-piece singers and musicians had previously said they couldn’t be more thrilled. The band, 20-year-old Parisa Tarhomani and 18-year-old Betsy-Blue English, 19-year-old Mikey Bromley 17-year-old Charlie George the four live together in Parisa’s parents’ home.
Describing themselves as a modern-day Von Trap family, they said: “I think we’re most looking forward to showing people what we’re about – bringing a twist to the show hopefully. We want to show both the show audience and the audience at home what Only the Young is all about.”
We at LS HQ think they will be showing us a whole lot more …
X FACTOR 2014 RESULTS: STEREO KICKS SENT HOME AFTER SING OFF WITH LAUREN
Tensions were high on the talent show, when the judges’ opinions were equally split between the two acts, taking them to deadlock on Sunday night.
Stereo Kicks became the latest act to be voted off X Factor after being put in the bottom two alongside rival, Lauren Platt.
Before the sing-off, Lauren nervously told host Dermot O’Leary: ‘I am gutted and especially gutted to be going up against my best friends but it’s got to be done.’
After going to deadlock as both acts received equal votes, host Dermot O’Leary revealed that Stereo Kicks got the least votes from the public (no surprise there)
The devastated group said: ‘X Factor is the start of our journey and we will keep going. Thank you so much to our fans”.
